I've always loved to design. After first pursuing an interest in Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design, I moved to the Jewelry + Metals Department, where I fell in love with the unique qualities of metals and using fire to create beauty and permanence. I later worked in Providence, Rhode Island and New York City as a designer of costume jewelry, wherein non-precious materials are transformed by industrial production techniques like casting, plating, mold making, photo-etching, stamping, die-cutting and lathing into jewelry styles that respond quickly to fashion trends.
Today, I combine these two worlds–the precision of my metalworking background with the quick pace of fashion design–to create one-of-a-kind art you can wear. While every piece is unique, they all reflect back to my goal of helping you feel beautiful every day, no matter your aesthetic.
I’m a New York native. Working in my Thornwood, NY studio, with my dog Henna by my side, I am surrounded by nature and inspired to create. Using traditional and contemporary processes, I transform sparkling gemstones, colorful glass, shimmery mother-of-pearl, delicate porcelain, gold and sterling silver into beautiful jewelry. When you’re shopping at Ronnie Taubenfeld Jewelry, you’ll find collections of colorful pendants, luminous necklaces, playful rings and contemporary earrings to suit your personal style.
